My first Mother's Day

Mother's Day 2009 was my first Mother's Day. Owen gave me a card (thanks Mom!) and as you can see he liked playing with it. Owen told me what he wanted to get me for Mother's Day, but I haven't gone look for it yet. Whether I decide to get them or not I have the best gift anyone can ask for, my little man!! I love him so much!!

Mother's Day this year was pretty low key. We went to Melissa & Ricky's house for brunch. We had lots of breakfast foods, fruit and desserts. I made French Toast Casserole. It was a Paula Deen receipe I found on foodnetwork.com. I am a big fan of french toast so I had to try it. I wouldn't exactly say that it tasted like frnech toast but it was quite good!

Owen and I ended up staying there all day and Aunt Elaine, maw maw and I played Liverpool. It was fun. I love to play cards and games and wish we got a chance to do those things more often.

I really don't like how I look in the second picture. Yuck!! I should have looked at them better that day and I could have taken more to get one that I liked better. Oh well, Owen is cute as always!

It was a great first mother's day. The only thing that could have made it better was if Mitch could have been here. I miss him so much!!

A work in progress...

I decided today that I would start a blog. I figured it would be a good way for everyone to keep up with Owen & I. This blog is definitely a work in progress, considering as of today I knew absolutely nothing about creating a blog. I've seen many very cute blogs and of course I want mine to be cute too. Therefore, I've been on a mission to figure out this blog "stuff" and get my blog to look cute. I'm not one to take baby steps at stuff like this... I want a great looking blog on day 1! *LOL* When I make up my mind to figure something out I search and search for tutorials and tips on how to do what it is I want to do, and that is just what I have done with this blog.
